Civil Engineering Technician – Summer Position
REI Engineering, Inc. (REI) is recruiting a civil engineering technician to join our extraordinary team of professionals for the summer of 2023. The civil engineering technician will assist our Civil Construction Engineering Team and our Land Surveying team.

This career opportunity entails the following:
- Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with ASTM standards
- Conduct / manage limited Phase II ESAs according to ASTM standards
- Perform project specific field work including: scheduling, coordinating subcontractors, collecting soil, groundwater, surface water and vapor samples for environmental investigations via hydraulic push soil borings, hollow stem auger borings and hand auger borings. Data entry of collected field information into tables, maps and reports for site characterization
- Prepare soil and water samples for laboratory analysis of requested parameters

REI is committed to giving back to the communities we serve. As a company, we contribute through donations and sponsorships, provide leadership to civic organizations, and encourage our team members to engage in volunteer initiatives. We work with high schools and technical colleges to increase opportunities for youth in our community through mentoring and internships.

Our office is located in the scenic, growing area of Wausau in north central Wisconsin. Whether it’s hunting and fishing, hiking, snow skiing, kayaking or the theater, Wausau has it all. If you can’t find it here, Wausau is within two hours of other major cities including Appleton, Green Bay, and Madison.
